A family gathers for dinner. This familiar family space of congeniality is here divided by a grey wall. While isolated from each other the family eat their meal from the same table. Little by little the usual meal-time chatter dies out and a change in conviviality occurs. As an installation the actual wall used during filming was again set in the space and the video documentation of this action was screened either side of it, recreating the divided family circle.
 While family is a very personal territory it may also be said to be the smallest unit of community, the first community in which humans share in a space through communication. If this harmony is divided and viewed in a different light, what might people think of this? This public problem also threatens the personal territory.
